Where are in-person sessions available?
Our offices are located in Santa Monica, California, with our in-person sessions conducted throughout the Los Angeles County area and beyond.
What exam level should my child take?
ISEE:
- Primary (Entering Grades 2-4)
- Lower (Entering Grades 5-6)
- Middle (Entering Grades 7-8)
- Upper (Entering Grades 9-12)
SSAT:
- Elementary (Grade 3-4)
- Middle (Grades 5-7)
- Upper (Grades 8-11)
HSPT:
- Generally taken by 8th graders for admission into 9th grade.
How is the ISEE, SSAT, & HSPT scored?
ISEE:
- Scores range from 760 to 940 for each section.
- Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Mathematics Achievement, and an unscored Essay.
SSAT:
- Scaled scores range from 440-710 for the Middle Level and 500-800 for the Upper Level.
- Quantitative, Verbal, Reading, and Writing sections (Writing is unscored).
HSPT:
- It consists of five sections, and scores range from 200 to 800 per section.
- Verbal, Quantitative, Reading, Math, and Language sections.
When should the ISEE, SSAT, & HSPT be taken?
ISEE:
The year before the intended entry year.
SSAT:
The year before the intended entry year or as required by the school.
HSPT:
Usually in January of the 8th grade year.
